HOT A/C * MODERN A/C * LITE A/C
SBMP specializes in promoting both independent and major label acts to A/C Radio. We target the FMQB charts and have a very
high success rate of charting our clients. SBMP only accepts projects that we feel has charting potential and have rarely not gotten
a record charted.
General overview of the A/C market:
- Demographics: Females 18-34 (but sometimes 18-54)
- See who's on the
FMQB
A/C charts right now!
- A/C singles do not have to be a "Lite" record like "Celine Dion". Charts are eclectic and have artists in the Modern
A/C, Hot A/C and Lite A/C genres. SBMP frequently promotes A/C singles that lean toward Alternative, Top 40,
Urban AAA/Singer Songwriter or Smooth Jazz. While not every record will fit the format, the genre is diverse.
- If you have a question about whether your record fits, send it to us and we will let you know.
Trade Magazines:
The following trade magazines compile weekly radio playlists from a panel of radio stations, in order to come up with
a radio chart.
- The Friday Morning Quarter Back (FMQB)
- Includes Secondary Markets in their radio panel
- A/C chart (ACQB) includes Modern, Hot and Lite A/C stations on one chart.
- More attainable for independent artists
- Commercial Radio Stations only
- Radio & Records Magazine (R & R)
- Includes mostly major markets
- Has both Hot A/C & A/C radio charts (separate)
- Generally won't chart singles that are not top 20 on the FMQB charts first.
- Commercial Radio Stations only
Practical Information for new clients:
- SBMP does not accept every project submitted and only accepts projects that we feel will make it to the
FMQB chart.
- A/C projects must have a single. Albums are not sent to stations for airplay. (SBMP can help you chose
a single.)
- Once a project is submitted, you will receive a written proposal outlining ALL costs associated with
promoting a record to A/C radio.*
- References are available upon request.

TO IT, WE WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH A WRITTEN PROPOSAL. SBMP DOES NOT ACCEPT EVERY PROJECT AND WE DO NOT
